Requisition Form: Download Requisition Form
Specimen Requirement: 4 mL Whole blood collected in EDTA
Storage/ Transport::
Transport at room temperature. Samples can be stored in the fridge (4'C) for up to one week before shipping.
Turnaround Time: 2 weeks
Additional Information: Genomic DNA is extracted from the submitted specimen and assessed for the presence of
o Thiopurine S-Methyltransferase (TPMT) gene mutations using allele specific polymerase chain reaction (PCR) for the three common variants (c.238G>C, c.460G>A, c.719A>G).
o Nudix Hydrolase-15 (NUDT15) common mutation, c.415C>T, using PCR and direct nucleotide sequencing by Sanger.
