Specimen Requirement: Minimum 1 mL Sputum (both induced and expectorated sputa are acceptable), Bronchial Washings, Bronchoalveolar Lavage (BAL)
Specimen Handling Instructions:
 Collect in sterile container.
Transport within 2 hours of collection at room temperature. Keep specimens that aren't transported within 2 hours at 2-8°C.
Critical Value: Positive
Turnaround Time: 24 hours
