Chromosomal Microarray of Perinatal Tissue

Specimen Requirement: 1.5 cm of products of conception or fetal tissue (i.e. fetal skin or umbilical cord) in sterile transport medium.
*Microarray will not be performed on placenta.

When possible, 4 mL of maternal blood in a Lavender EDTA tube is requested for maternal cell contamination studies. Use requisition for Karyotype of Blood - Constitutional (Cytogenetic Requisition - Other than Cancer) for maternal samples and indicate "MCC Study".

Specimen Handling Instructions:
.5 cm size piece placental or fetal tissue. Transport in sterile transport media.
