Lung Cancer Solid Tumour Panel - Genetics
Alternate Name(s): EGFR Mutation Analysis, adenocarcinoma/non-squamous, NSCLC, somatic genetic testing

Specimen Requirement: Two tubes of curls (5 curls 5-10 uM thickness per tube) if macrodissection is not required.
OR
Ten unstained slides (7 uM thickness) along with H&E slide (with region of interest circled by pathologist) if macrodissection is required.

If only one tube of curls or five slides are received, DNA panel will be performed by default, unless RNA panel is specifically requested.

Turnaround Time: 14 days from receipt in Genetics Laboratory
Additional Information: Reflex testing on newly diagnosed cases of NSCLC (adenocarcinoma/non-squamous).

RNA Genes analyzed: BRAF, MET, RET, ALK, ROS1, NTRK1, NTRK2, NTRK3
